2016 saw Webers biggest grill launch ever – the Genesis II – something every barbeque fan was dying to get a first hand look at. In this immersive digital experience, we invite our grillers on a journey through bbq cultures across the world. To discover, to learn, to be inspired. Through cinematic and interactive content,  we join BBQ’s we might never have had the chance to experience We learn everything from how to choose the right piece of meat, to the importance of timing,keeping your knives razor sharp and smoking a Norwegian salmon. Every piece of content whether interactive tools, tutorial videos or inspirational recipes, had to be useful and sharable, with each deep dive having a specific mission to entertain, educate, and showcase Weber's grills and accessories.

The aim of this product showcase was to make the grilling experience as personal and up-close and as beautiful as possible. This pioneering digital showroom is designed throughout as a interactive first person experience – seamlessly combining point of view film with WebGL product demonstrations and immersive 360 environments. Your journey starts as the main character at the BBQ.The film leads you through the bustling backyards and introduces you to the grill of your choice. At this point we switch from film to interactive experience – leading you to explore every detail in a state of the art grill – first hand.

 
2016. UncleGrey To introduce the new Weber Genesis II grill range, we produced a state-of-the-art product site serving as the ultimate user guide. The site comprises POV videos that lead into real-time 3D product demonstrations. We recreated every grill in WebGL to produce a criminally smooth experience, even for mobile users. Topped with interactive hotspots and 3D animations that help to explain the grill’s design and technical features, the site allows for unprecedented levels of exploration before (and after) purchase.
